I first got into photography as a kid like many others may have. I played with film cameras, 110mm toy cameras and would borrow my uncle’s slr and waste a few rolls. Photography was just a small hobby for me until I became old enough to get involved with cars and the events involved with them on and off the race-track and that’s when I became obsessed.
My timing which included the involvement with my car hobby coincided with the digital revolution of professional photography. It was right at the cusp of many photographers transitioning from film to digital or completely denying it and going out of business! After spending years photographing the motor sports scene I decided to enroll at Boston University’s Center for Digital Imaging and Arts.
An old door closed but a new much larger one opened as we now have much more control over our creative vision and this is where my cutting edge philosophy comes into play,whether it’s capturing a photo for an event as a means of freezing time or assisting in executing one’s creative vision.
This blog is more or less a peek into some of my personal life and what I may shoot outside of professional boundaries or within genres I typically don’t delve into but I know I can do pretty well at.
